Qigong from Chinese Medicine
To support injuries, wellness and the complexities of life…
Also helpful for beginners before joining classes, as well as for those with experience who are looking to go a little deeper into the practice.
Individuals, couples or small groups.
“I have been attending Amanda’s Qi Gong classes for over a year now and, as I get older, my daily Qi Gong practice coupled with the way Amanda teaches it, has not only become an essential part of my day but also of huge psychophysical and spiritual benefit.
With her lively and humorous nature, her focussed direction to her students alongside her deep understanding and experience of this moving meditation, Amanda provides an ideal space in which to improve one’s general wellbeing. I thoroughly recommend her classes.”

Retreats
I facilitate and host on group retreats and am always delighted to collaborate or provide offerings as a visiting facilitator.
Qigong is the perfect practice for creativity and self-expression. I work on art & creative writing retreats, walking & nature retreats, restorative health retreats…and more…
Courses
We will explore the Five Phases (Elements) in rhythm with the seasons, along with courses on Qigong Foundations and forms such as the 18 Forms of Taiji Qigong Shibashi (Set 1 and Set 2), the 9 Forms of Pre-Heaven Qigong, the 8 Brocades, Radiant Lotus Qigong along with other forms and complementary practices.
Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi
Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi is a set of Qigong exercises (one of the first forms to be considered a hybrid of Tai Chi and Qigong) synchronising 18 movements with the breath.
It is a gentle, beautiful and flowing Qigong routine that is both a joy to do and deeply relaxing.
Each movement is targeting specific meridian systems affecting the organs and the mind to improve general health and wellbeing. The gentle rocking motions and stretching movements improve circulation and digestion. The chest exercises and controlled breathing are good for lung health. And the overall effect is to reduce mental stress and physical tension carried in the muscles of the body.
It is very easy to learn and suitable for people of all ages. It can be practiced sitting or standing…and is considered a national health exercise in some countries!
Nine Forms of Pre-Heaven Qigong
One of my favourite forms that works on the human energetic anatomy by including all of the meridians and main energy centres of body, heart and mind…
The perfect form for settling into Winter, the season of the “Water” element.
